APPRENTICE HEAVY EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN

Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years’ experience repairing diesel, electrical and hydraulic equipment.
• Registered apprentice in field licensing category 421A considered an asset.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical schematics.
• Technical and mechanical knowledge of cranes and mining equipment an asset.
• Experience using engine diagnostic software.
• Reliable and hardworking with a strong attention to detail.
• Valid Class G Driver’s License.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on equipment.
• Perform diagnostic testing to determine required system repairs and parts replacement.
• Travel to site for repairs and maintenance when required.
• Organize and retain maintenance and repair reports.
• Assist with all additional required tasks at shop.
